The Wrap Up '06

First rest in peace to James Brown. The godfather of soul.

Moment of silence.

Here's your usual year end wrap up thousands of blogs do at the end of the year. i'm not gonna make this a novel. personally for me this year, i had better days. i guess it's a part of growing up and i know for sure that these growing pains are not gonna stop at 06. as far as music goes in the hip hop world, the album of the year is between lupe fiasco's food and liquor and nas's hip hop is dead, with me leaning toward the latter (i might be biased but who gives a fuck really). songs that won't get out of your head, t.i's "what you know", jim jones "we fly high", young dro's "shoulder lean" & yung joc's "it's goin down"...i for one am not really into the commercial scene but those songs right there you can't help like when you crash a party or step into a club. other albums that i liked this year include little brother's seperate but equal mixtape, apathy's eastern philosophy, ghostface's fishscale, clipse's hell hath no fury, hi-tek's hi-teknology 2, the game's doctors advocate, kidz in the hall school was my hustle, and t.i.'s king. -mega

Over on my side of the fence 2006's cds were pretty solid and i picked some of my favorites.
